Indiana State Fair 2026 - Volunteers Needed
IPPG is proud to again be a part of the Indiana State Fair in 2026. This will be our 15th year coordinating the State Fair Photography Competition and gallery display.
Each year has been a resounding success and we are looking forward to another group of very talented photographers, both amateur and professional, student and adult, to participate in displaying their photography skills and images.
However, all this can only be accomplished with the help of members of the photography community in our area to step up and volunteer some time. You need not be an IPPG member, everyone with an interest in photography is invited to be a part of this Indiana State Fair tradition.
We have a number of dates, times and assignments in which your assistance would be appreciated.
2026 State Fair Volunteer Schedule
| July 29 - Wednesday 1:00pm to 3:00pm |
Setup and check in activities. Minimum six volunteers needed. |
| July 31, - Friday 11:00am to 6:00pm |
Print image check in and sort/prep for judging Minimum ten volunteers needed |
| August 1 - Saturday 11:00am to 5:00pm |
Print image check in and sort/prep for judging Minimum ten volunteers needed |
| August 2, - Sunday 8:00am to 5:00pm |
Print judging and hanging of prints in gallery Minimum ten volunteers needed |
| August 3, - Monday 9:00am to 3:00pm |
Complete hanging of prints in gallery Minimum five volunteers needed |

August 7 thru August 23, - 5:00pm to 8:00pm (Fair Closed Mondays) Saturdays and Sundays - 9:00am to 8:00pm |
Gallery Hosting Minimum two volunteers each evening Minimum two volunteers (rotating 4 hour shifts) |
